Job Details: Our client in Stoney Creek, Ontario is looking for a full-time and/or part-time Family Physician to join their Family Practice clinic. The Family Physician will provide comprehensive primary care services to a rostered patient population within a collaborative, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
The ideal candidate works well within a large, interdisciplinary team and promotes excellent culture within the team. Experience with pharmaceutical research is an asset.
Responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, treating, and managing acute and chronic medical conditions; providing preventive care and health promotion; ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests; prescribing medications; and coordinating care with specialists and community resources.
The physician will work closely with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physiotherapists, and administrative staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. Opportunities are available to perform office-based procedures, participate in virtual care, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and develop areas of special clinical interest.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records, adhere to professional and regulatory standards, and support the clinic's commitment to accessible, evidence-based healthcare for a diverse patient population. Hours of work are negotiable with no weekend hours and on call shifts.
The clinic uses Telus PS Suite EMR, and offers billing support. Payment structure is a blended model, There is no overhead costs which is dependent on chosen pay model, and the range of potential full-time annual earnings is $250,000-$350,000.
Incentives Available to the Physician: Medical/Health insurance and retention bonus which will be discussed with candidates during negotiations.
Clinic Details: The clinic is a collaborative multidisciplinary environment that provides opportunity to develop specialized areas of practice and clinical interest as well as a supportive and collegial workplace culture focused on patient-centred care.
Administrative support is provided for scheduling, patient communication, referrals, and documentation management, allowing physicians to focus on clinical care. Nursing support is also available to assist with administrative tasks. Clinic hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-8pm, Friday 8am-4pm and Saturday 8am-4pm.
The clinic utilizes a modern electronic medical record system and is committed to innovation, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice. Opportunities exist to participate in interdisciplinary case reviews, mentorship, teaching, and the development of specialized mental health programs. There are 2 full-time and 3 part-time Family Physicians currently working at the clinic. The clinic is situated in a well-established community with a highly diverse patient population.
Requirements:
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Postgraduate training from Australia, Canada, Ireland, UK, or USA
