 INDEPENDENT LICENSED ONLY / Job ID: 2628 LMIA Support Available, Family Physicians Required for Alberta Practice  Job Details: Our client in Calgary, Alberta is looking for a full-time and/or part-time Family Physician to join their Family Practice/Walk-in clinic.  The incoming physician will work a minimum of 40 hours per week and have the following duties · Provide comprehensive, patient-centered primary care to patients of all ages. · Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.  · Perform routine health assessments, annual physical examinations, and preventive care screenings. · Develop and implement individualized treatment and management plans. ·  · Order and interpret laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other investigations. · Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness. Perform office-based procedures within the physician's scope of practice (e.g., skin lesion removal, joint injections, suturing, IUD insertion/removal, biopsies, cryotherapy).  · Provide prenatal, pediatric, women's health, geriatric, and mental health care, as appropriate. · Counsel patients with disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and health promotion. · Coordinate patient care with specialists, allied health professionals, hospitals, and community resources.  · Maintain accurate, timely, and complete electronic medical records (EMR) in accordance with CPSA and provincial standards. · Review and respond to laboratory results, consultation reports, and diagnostic findings in a timely manner.  · Complete medical documentation, including referral letters, insurance forms, disability forms, and other required reports.  · Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with CPSA standards and clinic policies.  · Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, medical office assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.  · Participate in after-hours, on-call, or weekend coverage as required by the clinic.  · Maintain licensure, continuing professional development (CPD), and all required certifications. Hours of work are 8:30 am to 8pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 2pm on Saturdays. The clinic is closed on Sundays and Statutory Holidays. The clinic also has a manager on site to provide administrative and billing support. There are 6 family physicians currently working at the clinic. The clinic has been a cornerstone of healthcare in Calgary for decades. Situated in the Calgary Downtown, the clinic serves the Beltline and surrounding suburban communities. INDEPENDENT LICENSED ONLY / Job ID: 2580 $600K Earning Potential, Psychiatrist Needed for Community Health Centre Job Details: Our client in Edmonton, Alberta is looking for two full-time Psychiatrists to join their Community Health Centre. This is a community-based psychiatrist job in general adult psychiatry and references will be received by the family physicians. The job includes a comprehensive, holistic and psychiatric assessment and will be specifically tailored to the client’s needs. The incoming specialist will be experienced and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as confidence in managing complex mental health patients and the ability to operate the clinic’s EMR.   The clinic fosters independence and very comprehensive mental health specialist skills. As this is not a hospital-based job, the physician should have competent skills to manage complex cases. The clinic has the approval from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. If possible, the physician should schedule a visit to the clinic to meet the team. This is encouraged but not mandatory. Hours of work are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday with no on-calls, and the possibility of supported weekend shifts from 9am-5pm as well as a hybrid option should the specialist wish to work from a remote location.  The client prefers the incoming specialist having a client-centred approach. Currently, the clinic is undergoing a cooling phase before the referrals start coming in and will be fully operational and running in 6 months. Within this time, the client anticipates that with the population of 1.2 million Edmontonians, the caseload will at any time be between 1000 to 1500 cases and even more. Please note that the physician has the choice to accept or refuse clients. The clinic uses AVA EMR, and offers billing support. The payment structure is fee-for-service, split arrangement is 70/30, and the range of potential full-time annual earnings is $500,000- $600,000. Clinic Details: The clinic offers both administrative and nursing support. Please note that this is not a family practice clinic and there will be limited ancillary support. However, due to the state-of-the-art EMR and booking procedures that the clinic utilizes, the incoming physician can work quite independently. Clinic work hours are very flexible from 8am-5pm Monday-Friday with the option to work during weekends. There is 1 Psychiatrist currently working at the clinic.
