$400K Earning Potential, Psychiatrist Required for Established Clinic Network, LMIA/ Relocation Assistance 

Job Details: Our client in North York, Ontario is looking for a full-time Psychiatrist to join their busy multidisciplinary team of more than 40 family physicians and specialists.

The incoming specialist will provide comprehensive psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. All candidates must be able to function proficiently in English, hold an MD, MBBS or the equivalent thereto and be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or have comparable qualifications.

The successful candidate must have completed subspecialty training in Psychiatry or Internal Medicine with Psychiatry Interest and must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) 

This is an excellent opportunity to establish or expand a Psychiatry practice within a busy medical centre offering strong internal referral potential, onsite diagnostic services and access to rehabilitation and other complementary healthcare providers.

The clinic uses Accuro EMR, and offers billing support. Payment structure is fee-for-service, split arrangement is 75/25, and the range of potential full-time annual earnings is $300,000-$400,000.

Incentives Available to the Physician: LMIA Assistance and Relocation Assistance/ Support, to be discussed with the right candidate. 

Clinic Details: This is a busy walk-in clinic with free parking and offers various services such as laboratory, X-ray, ultrasound, bone-density testing, mammography, full pulmonary function testing, methacholine challenge testing, endoscopy, sleep studies, stress testing, echocardiography, stress echocardiography, Holter monitoring, ambulatory blood-pressure monitoring and audiology testing.

The medical centre also offers an onsite pharmacy, rehabilitation centre, dental and optometry services, a pain clinic and a cataract surgical centre. Clinic hours are 9am to 8pm,Monday to Friday and 9am to 1pm on Saturdays with Specialty Medicine operating primarily 9am to 5pm. The clinic is flexible regarding the number of clinics held each month and can accommodate daytime, evening and weekend clinics. There are 12 family physicians currently working at the clinic.

North York is an eclectic, multicultural district of Toronto with a wide range of unique neighborhoods and things to see and do. It is considered the secondary economic hub of the city and is home to York University which is Canada’s third largest, two colleges, Ontario Science Center, and fantastic range of museums, shopping centres and points of interest.  

Requirements: 
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)  
• Specialist training from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, UK, or USA
