Postgraduate training from the UK, Ireland, Australia, USA are the jurisdictions recognised by The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC).

Australia, Hong Kong, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States are the approved jurisdictions recognised by The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC).

From start to finish, the licensure process will take around 9-12 months. This is the general timeline of the licensure process.

The best kept secret about Canada is that we have wonderfully warm summers. Winters can be quite cold and snowy, but summers in Canada are equally as warm and sunny with 20-35 degree average heat from April to September. We truly get all four seasons each year.
