$340K Earning Potential, No Overhead, Family Physicians Required for Community Health Centre

Job Details: Our client in Barrie, Ontario is looking for a full-time Family Physician to join their community health centre (CHC). The incoming physician will be a member of the primary care team and will fulfill duties such as performing assessments, diagnosis, treatment, health education/counselling, and other medical functions as required according to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario standards of practice.

The physician will also participate in the centre’s on call service and contribute to the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of medical protocols and directives as well as consult with interprofessional team members as required.Work hours will be 35 hours weekly, with weekly on-call shifts until 10 pm, and rotate through call groups for weekends.

The clinic uses QHR Accuro EMR.  No billing required. Payment structure is a salary model, and there is no overhead cost to the incoming physician. The range of potential full-time annual earnings is $300,000-$340,000. 

Incentives Available to the Physician: Comprehensive benefit plan including Extended Health & Dental, Life/AD&D Insurance, EAP, and pension plan.

Clinic Details: The CHC has been providing primary health care to the community of Barrie for 36 years and has now received funding to expand to an additional site in north Barrie.

The clinic is located in a medical building near the City’s hospital inclusive of pharmacy, ancillary services and other specialists and family physicians. It also has a procedure room that is specifically for light procedures and offers administrative and nursing support to assist physicians as required. The clinic is in the process of recruitment with 2 part-time physicians already signed on.

The clinic location is nestled along the shoreline of Kempenfelt Bay, at the gateway of cottage and ski-country. The family-friendly City of Barrie boasts year-round recreation as well as easy access to the GTA. 

Requirements
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Postgraduate training from Australia, Canada, Ireland, UK, or USA
