Emergency Medicine Specialists Required,$100K Return of Service, No Overhead,15K Relocation Allowance

Job Details: Our client in Windsor, Ontario is looking for full-time and/or part-time Emergency Medicine Specialists to join their Hospital. The incoming specialists will join a dynamic healthcare team and operate across two main sites. The hospital's emergency department serves over 400,000 residents across Windsor and Essex County, handling more than 100,000 patient visits annually.

The incoming specialists' responsibilities will include providing high-quality, efficient, and compassionate emergency medical care to diverse patient populations, as well as coordinating care with interdisciplinary teams, including GEM nurses, Ontario Health at Home coordinators, emergency department pharmacists, and specialty consultation services.

Other roles will also include participating in quality improvement initiatives and adhering to institutional hospital standards and safety protocols.  The Emergency Department runs 24/7, 365 days a year. Shifts are 8 to 9 hours in length and ensure that there are always multiple physicians available.

The Hospital uses Cerner EMR. OHIP billings and shift submissions are completed by billing agents contracted by the department. Payment structure is a blended model which includes AFA (Alternative Funding Agreement), Premium Hourly Top Ups, and BBOC stipends. There is no overhead cost to the specialist, and the range of potential full-time annual earnings is $400,000-$500,000.

Incentives Available to the Physician: No overhead cost to the specialists. The client also offers LMIA support as well as a $100K return of service incentive in return for monthly shift commitment. $15K relocation assistance is also available to candidates moving to Windsor.

Hospital Details: The hospital offers the opportunity for a fantastic career in an award-winning healthcare facility. The facility is a 600-bed multi-site health service organization and has 22 Operating rooms shared between the two campuses and 24/7 nursing support.

The hospital also has a partnership with a respected university and offers Acute Medical and Surgical Services including Renal, Trauma, Emergency, Family Birthing Centre, Neonatal Intensive Care, Pediatric Services, Critical Care (ICU/CCU), Regional Cancer Services (Inpatient Oncology, Regional Cancer Centre, Breast Health Centre), Neurosciences, and Mental Health Services.

The Windsor-Essex area is ecologically rich with extensive parkland along with a southwest location that extends warm weather activities such as golfing, gardening, and water sports. Windsor offers the unique opportunities of a larger metropolitan area and the benefits of a smaller community. Living directly across the border from Detroit, Michigan places the incoming candidates on a cosmopolitan stage where arts, culture, big league sports, and entertainment are just moments away. Best of all, candidates can enjoy access to all of these big-city advantages while living in the relative tranquility (and low costs) of a much smaller, friendlier community.

Requirements

•  Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
•  Specialist training from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, UK, or USA
