Duties and responsibilities including monitoring patients heart for signs of change in health, including taking blood pressure, weight and height measurements, echocardiogram (ECHO), and other tests like blood tests, x-rays or stress tests if required. Establish a treatment plan required to prevent  heart conditions getting worse, or improve recovery by educating patients on lifestyle changes, medications used to lower cholesterol, blood pressure, and other risk factors. The clinic encourages other professional interests such as mental health and public health in addition to full-spectrum family practice.  There are no hospital call requirements; however, there is a hospitalist group which would benefit from additional physician support, should this be of interest. Other engagement opportunities include surgical assist at the hospital, and a newly built supportive-living facility. The clinic uses MedAccess EMR, and offers online appointment booking, a patient portal for secure messaging, and billing support. Payment structure is fee-for-service. Split arrangement is a negotiable 70/30, which can be discussed further with interested candidates. The range of potential full-time annual earnings is $250,000-$350,000.  Clinic Details: This bright, modern clinic with views of the mountains has 9 clinic rooms, 1 procedure room, a nursing station (which houses 0.9FTE RN during the week), and 3 dedicated front staff to help with patient flow. This multidisciplinary team includes 10 family physicians, a registered nurse, counsellors and other collaborative providers. A General Internal Medicine and Pediatric Specialist come into the clinic 1-2 times per month as well. The facility is primarily open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, the last Saturday of the month, and have recently extended Tuesday-Thursday until 8pm. The clinic is flexible on hours in order to serve the community.
