It is the center of the North, harboring international mining industries and diversified cultures. There are 330 lakes within the area and the scenery is stunning. It is an easy 3 hour drive or 40min flight to Toronto, and under 5 hour drive to Ottawa. All incentives to be discussed further with interested candidates.  The incoming physician will have prior experience in a Family Health Organization (FHO) or rostered care model and experience working in a walk-in or high-volume primary care setting. A willingness to provide after-hours coverage as per clinic schedule is also a requirement.   The clinic uses Hype EMR, utilizing AI technology to generate beautiful and accurate soap notes, yet still utilizing the simplicity of written charts and billing completion. Marie has a population of approximately 75,000, with a regional catchment of 120,000–130,000, serving communities across Algoma District, the North Shore of Lake Superior, and nearby Northern Ontario.   It is a key healthcare, education, and service hub of the region. The city is home to Algoma University and Sault College, and is a recognized teaching centre anchored by Sault Area Hospital, a modern regional hospital offering residency training, specialized services, and a regional cancer program serving the broader Algoma region.   Sault Ste. Marie has an international airport with scheduled flights to Toronto and is uniquely positioned as a Canada–U.S. border city via the International Bridge to Michigan.
