Full-Time Psychiatrist required for Supportive Community Hospital
Job Details: Our client in Cornwall, Ontario is looking for a full-time Psychiatrist to join their community hospital team. The incoming Psychiatrist will join a Schedule 1 facility working with the current psychiatry team providing high quality primary care and full range of acute inpatient, outpatient, and community mental health services. The Community Addiction and Mental Health Centre provides a range of services for all ages. It offers a robust roster of community- based services, including Adult Mental Health, Addiction Services, Community Withdrawal Management, Geriatric Mental Health, First Episode Psychosis, Mental Health Crisis, Assertive Community Treatment, Children and Youth Mental Health Services. The 16-bed Inpatient Unit is supported by a Long-acting Injection Clinic and a Day Hospital. Hours of work include on call (1:4).
The clinic uses Cerner EMR. Payment structure is fee-for-service, and the range of potential full-time annual earnings is $300,000-$400,000.
Incentives Available to the Physician: Remuneration is OHIP fee for service, sessional fees, and Hospital On Call Coverage (HOCC).
Clinic Details: The Hospital is open 24/7 and is managed by a collaborative interdisciplinary team who work together to provide high quality medical care, this includes primary care physicians and specialists including Internists, General Surgeons, Orthopaedics Surgeons, Gynaecologists, ENT, and Neurology. There are 3 psychiatrists currently working at the hospital.
Cornwall is an exceptional location along the shores of the St Lawrence River, with lots of water access available. The city has an extensive bike trail system as well. Located approximately 1 hour’s drive from both Ottawa and Montreal, as well as being minutes away from the US border. Many physicians commute from Ottawa or Montreal, while others live on beautiful waterfront properties right here in town. Cornwall has a VIA railway station with easy access to major Canadian cities; Toronto is around 3 hours 30 minutes away by train.

• College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) Full Licence
