LMIA Available, Excellent Earning Potential at Mid-Town Family Practice/Walk-in (with pics!)
Job Details: Our client in Toronto, Ontario is looking for a full-time Family Physician to join their Family Practice/Walk-in clinic. The incoming physician will be required to roster a patient panel and/or do walk-in. The physician must have an interest in chronic disease management, preventative care, and wellness promotion. Proficiency with minor procedures (e.g. skin biopsies, cryotherapy, laceration repair, joint injections), experience in women's health, prenatal care, and IUD insertion/removal an asset. Knowledge of Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and/or Ukranian will be an asset due to the patient population. LMIA available, document needed for a work permit.
Familiarity with EMR systems is preferred, training can be provided if needed. Ability to work collaboratively within an interprofessional team (NP, PA, nurse, pharmacist) is mandatory. Hours of work are flexible to an extent but full time preferred. The office hours are Monday through Saturday. Weekend shifts pay higher fees for rostered patients (30% premium). The weekend shifts are optional, a physician willing to alternate shifts is preferred.
The clinic uses Accuro EMR, and offers billing support. Payment structure is fee-for-service, option to form a Family Health Organisation once 3 family doctors on-site. Extremely competitive split arrangement 76.27/23.73 (overhead includes office space, EMR access paid by clinic, medical supplies and equipment, full administrative support, and billing agent to assist with billings). The range of potential full-time annual earnings is $400,000-$500,000.
Incentives Available to the Physician: Incentives such as preventative care bonuses (Comprehensive Care Model).
Clinic Details: This is a brand-new modern clinic. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 10am-6pm (walk in from 10am-4pm) Saturday 9am-1pm (walk in from 9am-12pm).
This is a collaborative environment with two medical office administrators available to assist. Nursing support may be available in the future depending on volume. There is 1 Family Physician currently working at the clinic who is also the clinic medical director.
The clinic is located in Regal Heights a charming and rapidly growing midtown neighborhood in a great area of Toronto, known for its tree-lined streets, historic homes, and strong community feel - ideal for young families - with new stores, businesses, cafes, and restaurants opening regularly, adding to its vibrant and dynamic atmosphere.
Requirements:
• Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or USA
• Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
