Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, and Ontario are currently the preferred provinces for British Ex-Pats.

Alberta

With the high average salaries, affordable housing, excellent quality of education, accessible healthcare with no premiums, and lower taxes than in other provinces, this is a desirable and affordable place to make a fresh start. Alberta offers incredible scenery, lakes, mountains, prairies, and abundant wildlife. The cities of Edmonton and Calgary are along the main highway that links the province making travelling between cities and towns north and south more accessible. The cities are built around rivers, parks and surrounded by nature, which has allowed for many multi- trails for walking and biking, which are easily accessible. Both Edmonton and Calgary have international airports offering daily and direct flights to Europe and other international destinations. Surrounded by the Rocky Mountains Alberta has many beautiful towns and cities to choose from, whether you prefer the quieter towns and cities or the hustle and bustle of the cosmopolitan way of living you will not be disappointed.

British Columbia

Due to the shortage of Physicians, British Columbia offers various programs to welcome international physicians. The government provides desirable wages for experienced physicians from the UK. BC's most well-known and populous city, Vancouver, has long been recognized year after year as one of the best cities in the world for quality of life and livability. Vancouver International airport offers daily and direct flights to Europe and other international destinations.
