No Overhead for Family Practice for up to 6 Months (with pics!)
Job Details: Our client in Barrie, Ontario is looking for a full-time and/or part-time dedicated and compassionate Family Physician to join their Family Practice/Walk-in clinic. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive patient care services in a fast-paced clinic setting. This is more of a hybrid approach of family practice and walk-in together. The physician has the opportunity to supplement income through the walk-in until family practice is established.
The incoming physician will assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of non-emergency medical conditions for patients of all ages. Responsibilities include managing acute illnesses and injuries, performing routine check-ups, prescribing medication, and providing preventative care. Average daily patient count is 40-50 patients. Hours of work are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am-3pm

The clinic uses Oscar EMR, and offers billing support.
Payment structure is fee-for-service, there are several split arrangements available:
85/15 (clinic takes 100% non-insured billing & doctors notes, etc)
80/20 (clinic and physician split non-insured billing 50/50)
75/25 (physician takes 100% non-insured billing), to be discussed further with interested candidates.
The range of potential full-time annual earnings is $350,000-$450,000.

Clinic Details: The clinic is well-established in the community with outreach programs and has been operating for over 10 years with a proven and consistent track record. There is an on-site pharmacy and convenient parking available. The clinic setup consists of 4 examining rooms and a lab/procedure room. The clinic team include 2 front office/admin support, and a nurse aid to assist the physicians. There are 4 walk-in physicians currently working at the clinic.
The clinic is in an under serviced area with a high volume of walk-in patients. Many of which are looking for a family doctor and have travelled as far as 60km away for patient care.
Requirements:
• Eligible for licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Postgraduate training from Australia, Canada, Ireland, UK, or USA
