$550K Earning Potential, Internist is Required for Established Practice
Job Details: Our client in Calgary, Alberta is looking for a full-time General Internal Medicine Physician to join their Family Medical Clinic. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing exceptional patient-centred care, managing complex medical conditions, and contributing to the clinic’s collaborative care model alongside family physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
The incoming specialist’s duties will be providing specialized internal medicine consultations and follow-up care and manage complex and chronic medical conditions across adult populations. The specialist will also support primary care teams by offering diagnostic insight and specialist guidance as well as collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (nurses, specialists, allied health) to coordinate patient care.
The specialist will also interpret diagnostic results and create evidence-based management plans, maintain accurate and timely EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and participate in periodic clinical meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
The clinic uses Telus Med Access EMR and does not offer billing support. Payment structure is fee-for-service, split arrangement is 70/30 and the range of potential full-time annual earnings is $450,000- $ 550,000.
Clinic Details: The clinic has 1 procedure room and offers ample parking space. There is a Medical Office assistant who will provide administrative support. There is also 1 full-time Pediatrician currently working at the clinic. The clinic hours are 9am-6pm Monday-Friday on Weekdays and 10am-4pm Saturday.
The clinic is in an established commercial plaza with a high-density Calgary community with strong population growth. It is a multicultural area with high demand for primary care and women’s health services and a strong need for Family Physicians in the surrounding area. The clinic is also close to Marlborough C-Train Station and major bus routes and can also be accessed via Highway 1.
Requirements:
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA)
• Specialist training from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, UK, or USA
