Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Nardia Cherry and I was born and raised in sunny Queensland, Australia. My journey from Australia to Canada began when, after spending too much time behind a desk as a property manager, I branched out into the tourism industry. With my love of skiing and outdoors, Canada seemed like a wonderful way to experience something new. I found myself packing up for a 7 month opportunity in Canada, and 7 years later here I am, in my dream role and dream location.

What drew me to Physicians for You is wanting a career where I can make a difference in people’s lives. I am a people person, and enjoy building relationships and facilitating people. With a background in both real estate and tourism and the love for a fast paced environment, I have found recruitment to be the perfect fit. Being in property management for ten years provided me with the foundation for managing a busy portfolio and working to important timelines.

Bridging the needs of clinics we work with and the communities involved with the physician and their family and being able to help both sides find what they are looking for is very rewarding. It requires looking at the big picture and everyone involved.

Job boards don’t match people to jobs. People match people to opportunities – this is a little quote I came across that always reminds me that a big part of what we do is to help create possibilities.

The challenges I had with moving to a new country with little support has given me the personal experience and passion to help others make their move, whether that is local, or to another province or town, or internationally. What I love is that we are there with you every step of the way. Our wonderful team at Physicians for You is here to support our medical facilities and our physicians in every aspect we can, and that’s what I love being a part of.
