Job Details: Our client in Vancouver, British Columbia is looking for a full-time and/or part-time Family Physician to join their Family Practice. Their mission is to provide comprehensive accessible, high-quality healthcare, supported by a multidisciplinary team and cutting-edge technology. Our client is looking forward thinking physicians with experience in primary care. Focus is on community family medicine, with the opportunities to develop special interests and customize their own scope of practice, allowing the physician to focus on the type of medical care that excites them the most. Patient demographics includes everyone from newborns to the elderly. Patient type and volume is entirely dependent on the preference of the physician, allowing them to curate their own patient panel based on their interests. Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Coverage is required. 

This clinic is part of a growing network focused on an integrated, patient-centered care model that is designed to provide comprehensive and seamless care across a multidisciplinary team. Collaboration between family physicians, nurse practitioners, RNs, and allied health professionals working together to deliver high quality holistic care in their communities. This extensive network of over 60 healthcare providers offers a cross-coverage system to eliminate the need to find a locum cover and ensure that there is patient coverage across their clinic locations ensuring continuity of care, allowing physicians to enjoy up to 10 weeks of vacation each year without any worry. Our client is known for their incredible work environment, with regular social events, staff buy-ins and a culture of kindness and respect. Their unique physician model supports long term employment satisfaction, keeping turnover low and and spirits high.  

The clinic offers a hybrid work model that promotes in clinic and remote work. Hours of work are flexible and are shaped by the physician's preference. On-call duties are minimal, with home-call about 2 weeks per year; average calls: 0-1 per week. There are no Weekends/Nights shifts required—unless this is something the incoming physician would like to offer. The physician control’s their own schedule.  

The clinic uses Oscar Juno EMR, and offers billing support. Payment Structure is fee-for-service or there are two types of patient payment models, patients new to the practice and Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP Payment Patients). The LFP is a blended model to support physicians in family practice who provide longitudinal family medicine care. Split arrangement is 70/30, and the range of potential full-time annual earnings is $350,000-$450,000.   

Incentives Available to the Physician: Extended Medical and Dental coverage is available after 3 months of employment for full time physicians. Unique cross-coverage system allowing up to 10 weeks of vacation, Flexible schedules with hybrid work models, tools to practice medicine in the most advanced, tech-driven environment including Cortico for patient messaging, AI-driven note making tools (getFreed.ai, Tali, Heidi), and Waive the Wait for patient recall and unlimited food and drinks provided in fully stocked clinics. 

Clinic Details: The clinic offers a full service of primary care with allied healthcare, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Social Work, a Chronic Disease Nurse, Family Medicine Dermatology, Family Medicine Psychotherapy, Counselling, Dietician, Trigger point injections and Pharmacy. The clinic is equipped with advanced AI-driven technologies, including AI for SOAP note creation (getFreed.ai, Tali, Heidi), e-faxing, online booking, and Waive the Wait for patient recall, Cortico for patient messaging, as well as cloud-based EMR systems. These tools streamline operations, allowing the physicians to focus on patient care, while administrative tasks are streamlined. 

The network has a large team of support staff including IT, HR, Billing, Accounting, Managerial staff, and more. The Nurse in Practice program for nursing support is also available for physicians with a full practice. The network COO is a registered nurse and able to help with any kind of inquiry, quality improvement program, or any medical issues.  

This is a new clinic location, with lots of room for new physicians. The incoming physicians will be supported by a large distribution team from other clinic locations to cover practice. The clinic has no family physicians working there currently.  

The clinic is situated in a 63-arce site within Richmond that offers natural beauty with walking trails and gorgeous views of the Salish Sea. Easily accessible to nearby sky train, urban amenities, and good exposure to major roads and highways for commuting. This is an award winning, supportive, and progressive medical community. The area attracts a mix of residents and visitors, providing varied medical cases and experiences, the proximity to retirement communities offers opportunities in geriatric care. Richmond’s strong ties to the Asian community offer exposure to diverse cultural practices and medical needs.

Requirements: 
• Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or USA 
• Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) 
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
