Anesthesiologist required for Supportive Community Hospital
Job Details: Our client in Cornwall, Ontario is looking for a full-time and/or part-time Anesthesiologist who is collaborative and a good communicator to join their hospital team. The physician will work with the anesthesiology group providing anesthesia services in general surgery, orthopedic, Obs/GYNE, ENT, urology, plastics, peds dental/ENT and endoscopy. Hours of work are regular operating hours 8am-3:30pm and on call including weekends (1:6).
The clinic uses Cerner EMR,. Payment structure is fee-for-service plus stipend for call coverage (HOCC) , and the range of potential full-time annual earnings is $300,000-$400,000.
Incentives Available to the Physician: Accommodation provided when on call. Open to discuss relocation reimbursement.
Clinic Details: This 170-bed hospital includes 5 OR theatres plus endoscopy, a 12 bed closed ICU and an Internal Medicine Preoperative optimization clinic. The hospital is open 24/7 and currently has 5 Anesthesiologists working there.
Cornwall is located on the St. Lawrence River, one hour from Montreal and one hour from Ottawa with border crossing in Cornwall, and has a catchment area of 120,000 people.
Requirements:
• Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Eligible for Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) Certification
• Specialist training from Canada, USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Switzerland, and UK
