No Overhead for First Month, New Clinic 1 Hour East of Toronto Area

Job Details: Our client in Peterborough, Ontario is looking for a full-time Family Physician to join their Family Practice/Walk-in clinic. The incoming physician will work in shifts, alternatively with other doctors to provide full day walk in and family practice. There are currently 35000 patients without family doctors in the area. 

Work hours are Monday-Saturday, there will be no specific schedule for doctors, it depends upon their availability, but they must do 35-37.5 hours/week along with walk in shifts.

The clinic will have Telus Oscar EMR and offer billing support. Payment structure is fee-for-service, split arrangement is 75/25 for all income sources, and the range of potential full-time annual earnings is $400,000-$500,000. 

Incentives Available to the Physician: No Overhead for First Month

Clinic Details: This new clinic will have 10 examinations rooms along with a nursing station, ready by November 2025. There is a front desk team along with MOA available to support the physicians. Currently there are no physicians practicing in the clinic. 1 UK trained doctor will be starting his practice in August 2025.

The clinic is the only walk-in available in Peterborough and the surrounding area. There is a large population in the area waiting for a family doctor, 75% of the patient population are seniors.

The city of Peterborough is a unique central Ontario city featuring a hip downtown scene, plenty of outdoor adventure, and a central location between the major cities of Toronto and Ottawa. It has an urban population of around 85,000 and a metropolitan area with a population of 128,624. 1 Hour’s drive East of Great Toronto Area

Requirements:
•  Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia, or USA
•  Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
•  Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
