Full-Time Family Physician Position in Halifax, Nova Scotia

Job Details: Our client in Halifax, Nova Scotia is looking for a full-time Family Physician to join their Family Practice. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention, consultation and referral to other medical practitioners, act as a patient’s advocate, prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations, report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements. The range of potential annual earnings is $250,000-$300,000.

Clinic Details: The clinic has space available for an incoming physician which includes two large spacious rooms that come fully equipped. This is a professionally managed clinic and is well supported by experienced staff. When at full complement, this clinic has three Family Physicians and a Psychiatrist on site. The facility is centrally located and easily accessible by bus.

Requirements: 
•    Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or USA
•    Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CFPC)
•    Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
