Full-Time Family Physician Position in Halifax, NS Clinic

Halifax Clinic with Existing Patient Roster 

Job Details: Our client in Halifax, Nova Scotia is looking for a full-time Family Physician to join their Family Practice. The position may come with an existing patient roster of roughly 1200-1400 patients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention, consultation and referral to other medical practitioners, act as a patient’s advocate, prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations, report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements. The estimated annual salary is $365,000.

Requirements: 
•    Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or USA
•    Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CFPC)
•    Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
